At just 17 years old, Franco Mastantuono shook up the market with his transfer from River to Real Madrid in a deal worth 45 million euros. These figures made him the most expensive sale in the history of the Millonario and, currently, the only transfer from South America to Europe within the top 10 of this transfer window.

According to the specialized outlet Transfermarkt, the signing of the young player by Los Blancos makes him the ninth most valuable player of this transfer window.

Among the major moves of this market, the podium is comfortably led by German Florian Wirtz, who moved from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool for 125 million euros. He is followed by Brazilian Matheus Cunha, sold from Wolverhampton to Manchester United for 74.2 million, and Spaniard Martín Zubimendi, who left Real Sociedad to join Arsenal for 70 million.
