Garrahan claims that Axel Kicillof owes them $4.1 billion and hasn't paid.

Garrahan Hospital issued a statement on X: 'We need everyone's responsibility to continue taking care of the children.'

The Kirchnerist administration of Axel Kicillof once again displays its neglect and lack of commitment to the lives of Buenos Aires residents by accumulating an astronomical debt with Hospital Garrahan, the most important pediatric center in Argentina. While President Javier Milei's government guarantees the hospital's operation, the inaction of the province of Buenos Aires and its health insurance IOMA jeopardizes the care of thousands of children, showing the irresponsibility of a model that prioritizes political spending over the health of the most vulnerable.

In a revealing and urgent wake-up call, Hospital Garrahan, through its official account on the social network X, has issued a harsh criticism against the provincial administration, directly targeting the negligence of Axel Kicillof. The prestigious health center, vital for the care of children from across the country, has exposed a provincial debt that amounts to the staggering sum of 4.1 billion pesos (9,039,000 USD) owed by the Buenos Aires health insurance IOMA, out of a total of 10.5 billion pesos (23,137,500 USD) that various provinces owe the hospital.

The dramatic post, which highlights the crisis caused by the lack of provincial payments, emphasizes: "The National Government keeps Garrahan's care, but it needs an urgent response from the provinces that owe more than 10.5 billion pesos (23,137,500 USD) to the country's most important pediatric hospital. Of that total unpaid amount, 40% corresponds to the Buenos Aires health insurance IOMA." This forceful statement not only defends the work of the National Government in its effort to keep an essential pillar of health standing, but also exposes the serious delinquency of Kicillof's administration.

The situation is even more alarming when learning the details of IOMA's debt: of the 4.5 billion pesos (9,922,500 USD) owed by the health insurance for workers of the Province of Buenos Aires, about 2.5 billion pesos (5,512,500 USD) are already in litigation, which prevents the immediate availability of those funds and worsens Garrahan's already precarious financial situation. Despite this suffocating debt, the hospital reaffirms its unwavering commitment to life: "Despite this, we continue and will continue to care for all patients", a message that highlights the ethics and professionalism of its staff in the face of governmental irresponsibility.

This new chapter of tension between the Nation and the provinces, driven by the urgent need to guarantee children's health, highlights the urgency for Kicillof's government to assume its responsibility. Garrahan's message is clear and forceful: "We need everyone's responsibility to continue caring for the children". Meanwhile, President Milei's government works tirelessly to clean up the accounts and prioritize the real needs of citizens, while the province of Buenos Aires, under Kicillof's leadership, continues to demonstrate that its management model is far removed from the people's priorities, leaving those who need them most to their fate.
