Gastón Edul anticipated what Boca's strategy is for the technical direction.
The TyC Sports journalist stated that Gabriel Milito hasn't been contacted by the club's management yet
After Fernando Gago's departure, Juan Román Riquelme and the Football Council have already begun evaluating who will be the next head coach. In that list of potential candidates, the name that resonates the most is Gabriel Milito, identified as the president's favorite due to his work style, his view of the game, and the performance he showed in his previous teams.

Despite this, the club has not yet formally communicated with the coach to express their intention to include him in the sports project. However, it has already emerged what the former Barcelona defender's stance would be in the event of a proposal to take charge of the team.
Although he hasn't received any concrete offer from the Xeneize management, everything indicates that Milito is at the top of the priority list. In this scenario, journalist Gastón Edul provided details about what the former Atlético Mineiro coach would do if Riquelme called.
In his participation on TyC Sports, Edul was clear: "If Riquelme calls him, Milito listens to the proposal, and in fact, it seems unbelievable that his name comes up and they haven't contacted him".

This way, the former coach of Argentinos Juniors and the Brazilian team doesn't rule out meeting with Boca's directors. On the contrary, he would be willing to talk and learn about the club's plans. In that sense, Edul added: "I insist, if they call him, he listens because he wants to coach. He sits down to listen, now there has been no contact from Boca".
Although Milito is open to negotiating with the club from La Ribera, there is a key factor that could define his immediate future: time. According to the journalist, the coach would not be willing to wait too long. "He doesn't wait until August, he doesn't wait until after the Club World Cup because he wants to coach", Edul emphasized.
