Globe Soccer Awards 2025 celebrated its 16th edition with a high-impact gala at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai. The ceremony honored footballers, coaches, and executives who defined the year.

Ousmane Dembélé, also winner of the Ballon d'Or and The Best Award, took the main spotlight by being chosen as Best Player, after an outstanding season with Paris Saint-Germain. The Frenchman shared the shortlist with Kylian Mbappé, Raphinha, Vitinha, and Lamine Yamal, prevailing as the most decisive attacking piece of the French champion.

Despite losing the main nomination, Lamine Yamal starred in another milestone of the night. The young Spaniard received the Best Forward award and obtained the Diego Armando Maradona award, a distinction reserved for exceptional talents.

Another highlight of the event was Cristiano Ronaldo, who at 40 years of age was crowned Best Middle East Player, a recognition of his longevity and his football and media influence since his arrival in Saudi Arabia.

In parallel, the gala confirmed PSG's dominance in a 2025 in which it won 6 of 7 possible titles. The French club was distinguished as Best Men's Team, with Luis Enrique as Best Coach, Vitinha as Best Midfielder, and a rewarded executive group that included Nasser Al-Khelaifi as Best President and Luis Campos as Best Sporting Director. In addition, Désiré Doue was chosen as Best Emerging Player, adding up to a total of seven awards for the French club.

Meanwhile, the ceremony marked a strong Argentine absence, since no player or coach from the country was nominated. The last time Lionel Messi won the award was in 2015, while in 2024 he and Lautaro Martínez had taken part in the contest but lost to Vinícius Júnior. The last individual Albiceleste award was Lionel Scaloni in 2023, when he had been chosen as Best Coach, while the last one overall was Best Global Brand Expansion for the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in 2024.
