The State Property Administration Agency (AABE), which reports to the Chief of Cabinet, confirmed the auction of a 2006 Ferrari F430 that was seized in a drug trafficking and money laundering case. The announcement was made by the Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, during his press conference at Casa Rosada, where he reviewed management progress two years into President Javier Milei's term.
The vehicle, a red Italian sports car with just 16,855 kilometers (10,478 miles), is part of public auction 392-0108-SPU25 and will have a starting price of USD 182,277, an amount set by the judiciary. The auction is part of the process of divesting unproductive state assets that the libertarian government has promoted since taking office, under the guiding principle that Adorni reiterated: nothing that should be in private hands will remain under state administration. Registration to participate will be open until January 27, 2026, and the virtual bidding will take place on February 3 at 2:00 p.m. through the ComprAr portal. Interested parties must meet the requirements published in the agency's terms and conditions. The Ferrari will be exhibited on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at different times, to ensure that bidders can inspect its condition before the auction.
The starting price is equivalent to 267 million pesos at the official exchange rate and about 264 million at the blue dollar rate. The auction will have a minimum increase of USD 5,000 for each new bid.
Adorni highlighted on his X account that these types of transparent processes strengthen public assets and restore value to underutilized or abandoned assets for years. The chief of ministers emphasized that in a single day, five auctions were held with multiple bidders competing in real time. He cited the case of the Artilleros property, where the bidding lasted more than an hour and doubled the starting price. La ferrari F430 que será puesta en subasta pública.
Milei's administration has already accumulated USD 321,915,200 in sales—including movable and immovable property—carried out through open and verifiable mechanisms. A significant portion of these lands will be allocated to private developments and urban projects, especially in high-value areas within the City of Buenos Aires. According to decree 575/2025, all proceeds will be channeled directly to the National Treasury.
The government keeps that the state must leave behind decades of unproductive asset accumulation and waste. To this end, AABE has an executive unit dedicated to managing and maintaining assets under judicial observation or subject to forfeiture measures, which will also be made available to the public on the official platform.
