The Government of Javier Milei surpassed 16,000 deregulations in June, according to the latest report released by the Minister of Deregulation, Federico Sturzenegger.

The figure reflects a sustained acceleration in the process of eliminating regulations, in line with the official policy of reducing regulatory burdens on the economy.

Through his account on X, the official highlighted the progress made during June: “June deregulation report: we have already surpassed 16,000! If it weren't for these obstacles, Argentina would be a very rich country, but here we go. MAGA. VLLC!”. The message accompanied the publication of updated data, showing continuous growth in recent months.

According to official figures, the number of deregulations increased from 15,251 in April to 15,507 in May, reaching 16,178 in June. In total, there are 689 deregulation norms that resulted in the modification or elimination of 2,699 regulations and 16,178 articles, consolidating a large-scale bureaucratic simplification process.

Deregulation by sector

The report details that the main impacts are concentrated in strategic sectors. The agro-industry leads with 111 norms affected, followed by Finance and Capital Markets with 109, and Foreign Trade with 101. Relevant advances are also recorded in National Production (88 norms), Transport (85), and Citizen Welfare (59), among other areas.

Other sectors included in the process are Health (39 norms), Culture, Tourism, and Sports (31), Energy (28), Employment and Labor Regulation (24), and the real estate sector (14), demonstrating a cross-cutting reach of the implemented measures.

During June, concrete initiatives aimed at simplifying procedures and reducing administrative costs were highlighted. In labor matters, progress was made in unifying the construction registry in ARCA to avoid duplications and the regime of occasional services was repealed.

On the institutional level, the General Inspection of Justice (IGJ) eliminated the requirement to submit paper documentation for corporate registrations, replacing it with fully digital processes.

Furthermore, in the realm of domestic trade, 58 resolutions related to controls and prior price authorizations were repealed, aiming to streamline the regulatory framework and facilitate market functioning.

The sustained progress of these measures reinforces Milei's Government strategy to reduce bureaucratic barriers and promote a more business-friendly environment for economic activity.
