The Government of Javier Milei announced that it is moving forward with the normalization of the health system of the Armed Forces through the Social Work of the Armed Forces (OSFA), within the framework of a restructuring process that aims to reverse the crisis inherited from Kirchnerism and restore the full functioning of the service throughout the country.

As reported by the Ministry of Defense, the current transition is already showing progress in organizing the system and improving benefits for members.

“As part of the transition process, the Social Work of the Armed Forces (OSFA) is carrying out the organization of the system throughout the country, with concrete advances in care and benefits for members,” they said in a statement.

The process is based on coordinated work between the Ministry of Defense, led by Carlos Presti, the different forces and the management of social work.

The regularization of payments

In this regard, it was emphasized that progress was made with financial reorganization and the regularization of payments.

This makes it possible to begin to stabilize a system that had strong imbalances.

“Based on the joint work between the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces and the management of the Social Work, progress has been made in the organization of the financial situation and in the regularization of payments, which makes it possible to recover and sustain the operation of the system in all provinces,” the statement details.

In parallel, each of the forces began to take concrete steps to settle their commitments. The Argentine Army has already canceled its entire debt, while the Argentine Navy has advanced in its regularization process

.

For its part, the Argentine Air Force issued the corresponding payment orders, consolidating a progressive compliance scheme.

“In this context, the Argentine Army paid off its entire debt, the Argentine Navy made progress in its regularization and the Argentine Air Force issued the corresponding payment orders, in a process that reflects the commitment of the Forces to the maintenance of the health system,” he said.

As a result of these advances, the payment circuit began to be recomposed throughout the national territory. This directly impacts providers, providers and affiliates, making it possible to sustain medical care and ensure the continuity of

services.

“All provinces have started the regularization process, with direct and indirect payments - such as refunds, medicines and services according to the needs of each jurisdiction,” the document adds.

The Milei Government stressed that this process is part of a larger phase of transformation of the system, after years of structural disorder. Along these lines, it was emphasized that it still remains to complete the regularization of obligations by all the actors involved in the previous scheme, linked to the

IOSFA.

“The process continues and requires the regularization of obligations on the part of all the forces that made up the IOSFA,” the statement said.

“These results mark a turning point and reinforce the commitment to creating a more modern and sustainable health system, at the service of the entire military family,” the document concluded.
