The Government released a video for International Women's Day and criticized woke ideology.
Under Javier Milei's management, in 2024 homicides of women decreased by 20%.
Through its social media account, the Government of Javier Milei released a video on the occasion of International Women's Day, questioning the "gender ideology," the "woke culture" and the political decisions of the previous Kirchnerist administration regarding the creation of the former Ministry of Women, Genders and Diversity.
In this context, it highlighted that in 2024 "femicides" decreased by 20%, although in the narration, done by a female voice, "women's homicides" is mentioned, as appropriate.
"During the last years in the Argentine Republic, the various governments in power promoted that to protect women, it was necessary to create enormous bureaucratic structures in the government with million-dollar budgets, all financed by the work and hard effort of good Argentines and violating the equality before the law enshrined in the National Constitution," the video begins with a voiceover.

Throughout the nearly two-minute publication, images of former Kirchnerist ministers, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta and Ayelén Mazzina, are interspersed with officials from the current Government of Javier Milei, such as his sister Karina, Sandra Pettovello, and Patricia Bullrich. A photo of the former First Lady, Fabiola Yáñez, also appears.
According to the video, "between 2020 and 2023 the State squandered thousands and thousands of millions of pesos on policies with the so-called gender perspective", also pointing out that "it exceeded spending on Defense or Security in that year and was ten times higher than the budget of the Judiciary".
Meanwhile, various extreme left feminist groups are preparing to mobilize this Saturday afternoon across the country, the Milei Government recalls that previous administrations "were dedicated to making symbolic policies without anything concrete that really helps to minimize violence against women", and that "crimes against women increased instead of decreasing and a record of women's homicides was reached".

Women's homicides decreased
The video reveals that "in 2024, with the arrival of President Milei, the Ministry of Women was closed and all gender areas of the other ministries were eliminated, spending on gender policies for women was reduced but instead of continuing to rise, violence decreased".
To support this claim, the publication mentions that "according to data from the National Ombudsman's Office, women's homicides fell by 20% in 2024, breaking a trend of years".
Additionally, it explains using a characteristic phrase from Minister Patricia Bullrich: "This is because the national State now adopts a policy of those who do it, pay for it by punishing the murderers".
"As a State policy, all criminals were fought, and women were the most benefited. Because the true policy to combat this scourge doesn't consist of using the money of good Argentines to profit from the victims, nor in using the State to promote the woke ideology", the video adds.
"From now on, the State will guarantee equality before the law and will not make room for the privileges advocated by gender ideology", it concludes.
