From the Casa Rosada, they invited Axel Kicillof to imitate the measure and prioritize health over propaganda

The national government formalized the extension for one more year of the Pauta Cero commitment, one of the flags of austerity and transparency of President Javier Milei's administration. The measure was announced during the press conference of the Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, and formalized through a decree signed by the Secretary of Communication, Javier Lanari.
In the same message, from Casa Rosada the officials once again directly targeted the Buenos Aires provincial administration and, in particular, Governor Axel Kicillof, whom they invited to "take the same course" as the national government and allocate public resources to basic priorities such as health care. The remark was not accidental: Buenos Aires Province keeps a multi-billion-peso debt with the SAMIC hospitals, high-complexity centers jointly managed by the Nation and the Province.

The ratification of Pauta Cero was later taken up again by the Presidential Spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, during the press conference held this Tuesday at Casa Rosada. There, Adorni recalled that the decision to eliminate official advertising responds to a clear conception of the role of the State: less propaganda, more management, and more resources where they are really needed.
In that context, the official once again detailed the magnitude of Buenos Aires Province's debt with the SAMIC hospitals. As he had explained in a previous press conference, held on July 24, 2025, the Province had at that time accumulated more than 409 billion pesos in unpaid commitments. In today's conference, Adorni updated the figures and specified that the total amount comes to 507 billion pesos, distributed among key hospitals such as El Cruce (Florencio Varela), Cuenca Alta (Cañuelas), René Favaloro (Rafael Castillo), Néstor Kirchner (Gregorio de Laferrere), and Bicentenario (Esteban Echeverría).
Despite being jointly funded facilities, the national government was forced to cover 100% of the expenses in order to guarantee their operation and prevent thousands of Buenos Aires Province residents from being left without medical care. The Chief of Cabinet criticized the priorities of the provincial Executive, which allocates billions of pesos to political expenses while failing to meet its health care obligations.
La austeridad del presidente Javier Milei contrasta con el despilfarro de Axel Kicillof.
Pauta Cero is not a symbolic gesture but a concrete public policy: to put an end to the discretionary use of public funds to reward or punish media outlets and to redirect those resources to essential areas. In that sense, the invitation to Axel Kicillof aims for the Province to abandon the logic of official propaganda and assume its responsibilities toward the health care system.
The extension of the Pauta Cero commitment thus reinforces the contrast between a national government that keeps the adjustment of political spending and a provincial administration that, despite having a record budget, continues to accumulate critical debts.
