The iconic video game will be available starting April 15, Microsoft confirmed
Grand Theft Auto V, one of the most successful video games of all time, will be available again on Xbox Game Pass starting April 15, according to Microsoft.
The news includes a relevant update for PC users: they will have access to the Enhanced Edition, an optimized version with graphical and technical improvements recently released.
Enhanced edition with state-of-the-art technical support
The Enhanced Edition, which debuted in March, is presented as a substantial update to the classic from Rockstar Games. It includes:
- Ray tracing in global illumination and ambient occlusion
- Compatibility with scaling technologies like FSR 1, FSR 3, and DLSS 3
- Optimized loading times thanks to DirectStorage
- Support for Dolby Atmos surround sound
- Gameplay in higher resolutions and framerates
- Compatibility with PlayStation 5's DualSense controller, including haptic feedback

These features place the PC version at the technical forefront, offering a significantly improved visual and performance experience.
GTA Online also gets an update
Alongside the relaunch of GTA V, GTA Online is updated with new content. The expansion titled "Oscar Guzmán Takes Flight Again" introduces the ability to manage a hangar in Grapeseed, operate new aircraft, and participate in air trafficking missions. All of this will be available at no additional cost for active subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass.
"This is a great opportunity to relive one of the most iconic open worlds in gaming history," stated Xbox in the official release.

Awaiting GTA VI
The return of GTA V to Game Pass comes at a strategic moment, while fans eagerly await the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is scheduled for release later this year, according to Rockstar itself.
