Did Guido approve Pampita's debut on Los 8 Escalones? His statements say it all

Guido Kaczka broke his silence regarding the arrival of Pampita as host of Los 8 Escalones and surprised with his response. In a conversation with Intrusos (América), he explained how the decision to choose Carolina Ardohain for a central role in El Trece's classic show came about.

During the interview, Adrián Pallares asked him directly how they chose the model: “How did you choose Pampita's name, who was a judge for a long time? It's a big role to fill.”

Kaczka acknowledged that the network already intended to continue with the show, which over the years has become a registered trademark. “There was the idea to continue Escalones, which has become a classic, and we were thinking how, in what way...” he replied.

Pampita, the one chosen among many names

Guido clarified that, due to his multiple commitments with radio and television, he could not be in charge of the program. That's why they began to evaluate options. It was in that context that Pampita's name came up.

“We discussed it with the network, they liked it, and now we're doing everything so that it turns out in the best possible way,” he explained about the decision to choose the model, who had already hosted El Hotel de los Famosos on the same channel.

What about Nicole? The version that made things uncomfortable

The topic became more heated when he was asked about the rumors of discomfort from Nicole Neumann, who reportedly had been in the running to host the show.

“Did you ever consider Nicole?” asked Paula Varela. Guido did not avoid the question: “We considered several names, and Pampita came up. She had already hosted a show on the network and it worked,” he replied.

Faced with the reporter's insistence, who directly mentioned Nicole's supposed anger, the host was diplomatic: “No, I don't think so... Nicole is great. She's very much a judge as well, it could have been her and many other personalities. She's going to come on the show, she's been with us for a long time.”

With his calm and elusive style, Guido managed to avoid conflict without completely denying the rumors. Pampita, for now, is already leading the show. Nicole, at least in public, remains silent.
