Guillermo Gastón López, who was accused by China Suárez and Mauro Icardi, spoke

The businessman accused of offensive messages denied everything and pointed to an operation against his law firm

Guillermo Gastón López spoke publicly for the first time after the harsh accusations made by Eugenia "La China" Suárez and Mauro Icardi on social media. The actress and the footballer exposed a series of offensive messages sent from a verified account in López's name, in which Suárez and her son Amancio were attacked.

In a conversation with the show Intrusos (América TV), López clarified his role within the law firm led by Nicolás Payarola, Wanda Nara's lawyer. He stated: "I'm not a lawyer, I'm the director of the firm. I handle the business area and connect clients with the lawyers."

López denied being the author and spoke of a possible setup

The businessman completely distanced himself from the content of the messages and considered that it was all part of a setup: "It's something absurd. No one in their right mind would write that from a verified account, with a visible name and surname." He also stated that his account wasn't hacked, but claimed that the messages could have been edited.

López reported that he suffered multiple complaints that ended with his account being blocked. "I can't access it anymore. It all seems very strange to me. I have nothing to do with this," he expressed.

La China Suárez and her legal defense advanced with a statement

In response to the case's repercussion, the firm Agustín Rodríguez & Associates, Suárez's legal representative, issued a harsh statement directed against López and his alleged connection with the Payarola & Associates firm.

In the document, it was stated that López, through his account @guillermogastonlopez, had posted "offensive and completely vulgar comments" toward the actress and her young son. It also included the testimony of Nicolás Payarola, who denied that López was his partner and defined the profile as a "fake" account.

Despite that version, Suárez's defense demanded an immediate public retraction. Otherwise, they announced they would initiate both criminal and civil legal actions.

"The statements have crossed all ethical and moral boundaries that any legal professional must respect. Even more so, by involving a minor, which shows an unacceptable baseness and lack of scruples," the text emphasized.

López denounced a political and media background

For López, it was all part of an operation to damage the law firm's image. He pointed out that they had already tried to attack his partner, Nicolás Payarola, before and suggested that the publications emerged just after a witness testified against Icardi.

"I don't expose myself publicly, I have no connection with Wanda Nara's case, nor do I follow La China on social media. Today I checked the messages with her user and there was nothing," he concluded, defending his innocence.

Meanwhile, the clash between Suárez's and Wanda Nara's circles adds a new judicial chapter that could have serious consequences if responsibilities are proven.
