Portuguese forward for Liverpool, Diogo Jota, 28 years old, and his brother André, 26, died in a tragic traffic accident in the province of Zamora, Spain. Both were traveling together when their Lamborghini went off the road, causing a fire that consumed the vehicle and spread to the area.

The English club confirmed the news and requested respect for the privacy of the family, friends, and teammates as they try to come to terms with an "unimaginable" loss. The fatal accident occurred while Jota was enjoying his vacation after having married Rute Cardoso just 11 days ago, mother of his three children, and on the eve of rejoining Liverpool's preseason.

Porto, the club where the brothers developed professionally, also expressed its sorrow with a message of condolences and wishes for them to rest in peace.
