A heroic young man defended himself from a robbery, took the knife from the thief, and killed him.

An attempted robbery in the southern area of Morón ended with the death of a violent criminal after a heroic 18-year-old young man reacted to defend himself and protect his girlfriend. So far, the justice system hasn't taken any action against the young man, since he acted in self-defense.

The incident took place in Plaza del Ombú, when the couple was walking through the area. At that moment, a 23-year-old thief riding a bicycle intercepted them and threatened them with a butcher-style knife.

“Give me the phone or I'll stab her,” the assailant allegedly said to the young man and the teenage girl who was with him. During the struggle, the thief managed to injure the young man on his hand and forearm, but he eventually managed to take the knife away from him, according to local media.

With that same knife, the victim stabbed him twice: once in the groin and once in the chest. The striker tried to flee but collapsed a few meters away, where he bled to death.

Terrified, the young man and his partner ran several blocks until they found a police checkpoint, where they recounted what had happened and handed over the knife used in the confrontation. The justice system ordered the corresponding forensic examinations, the autopsy, and the collection of testimonies to continue the investigation.

After the report, the officers went to the plaza and found the assailant lying on the grass, still showing vital signs. He was rushed to René Favaloro hospital but, thank God, he arrived dead.

According to local media, the deceased was identified as Brian Héctor Nahuel Rosales. When the news broke, his relatives went to the Morón police station and caused incidents, although the situation calmed down after the police explained what had happened.

The case is on track to be classified as self-defense, since a neighbor stated that the violent criminal had also tried to rob him minutes earlier.
