The trailer, which carries the subtitle Knock, showcased a stunning visual presentation with Unreal Engine 5 and made it clear that it aims to deliver a different kind of horror experience.

One game, one movie, and something more
Kojima described OD as "a game, and at the same time a movie and a new form of medium." Phil Spencer emphasized that Xbox wants to support creators who break barriers and stated that OD is the best example of that vision.
The promotional slogan is "For all players and screamers", clearly indicating the horror profile the project will have.
This is the new OD trailer
The video features Sophia Lillis, who had already appeared in the first teaser alongside Hunter Schafer and Udo Kier. This time, she screams in terror as a door—similar to the one in P.T.—is reflected in her eyes as it slowly opens.
Kojima explained that the sound of a knock on the door was the inspiration for this subtitle, as it evokes a deep fear in him that he wants to convey to all players.
A high-profile collaboration
Director Jordan Peele is also working on a part of the experience, although it is not known whether it will be a standalone episode. Kojima even joked about wanting to win an award for being the first to do motion capture for a ghost.
What is known so far
OD was announced in 2022 and still doesn't have a confirmed release date. With the Tokyo Game Show, it is expected that Xbox and Kojima Productions will reveal more details very soon.
