What the Beyond The Strand event will be like
The event will take place at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo and will feature Kojima and several special guests. It will be held from 06:00 to 08:30 (Spanish peninsular time).
Tickets are being sold through Lawson Ticket with an advance lottery reservation system, at a price of ¥7,700. There will be no direct sales at the venue, and it has not yet been confirmed whether there will be a live broadcast.
The games that could be present
Kojima is working on several projects in parallel. Among them is OD, a title developed together with Xbox Game Studios that promises to break the barriers between film and video games. Since its announcement in 2022, almost no material from the game has been shown.
Due to the proximity to the Tokyo Game Show 2025, analysts believe that if OD is presented at Beyond The Strand, it could also appear at the Japanese expo.
The context of Tokyo Game Show 2025
In recent years, Microsoft has taken advantage of TGS to make important announcements in Japan. This year, rumors point to the presentation of Forza Horizon 6, which would be set in Japanese territory.
With this outlook, Kojima's event is shaping up to be one of the major previews of the expo, fueling the anticipation of the industry and players around the world.
