The multinational will concentrate 75% of its regional investment in Argentina and highlighted the macroeconomic stability of Javier Milei's government
The strategy also includes the integration of GlobalLogic and Hitachi Digital Services under the Hitachi Digital brand, a corporate reorganization process expected to be completed by April 2027. The new structure will bring together more than 35,000 professionals across 27 countries and will have a portfolio of over 880 international clients, combining software engineering services, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital transformation.
The technology multinational Hitachi Digital announced an investment of USD 225 million in Argentina over the next two years, as part of an ambitious regional expansion plan of USD 300 million. The company also projects to create approximately 2,000 jobs in the country, consolidating the Argentine market as one of its main technology development centers in Latin America.
The announcement was made this Wednesday at the company's new offices in Vicente López, Buenos Aires province, and was led by Sebastián Bainer, vice president and head of Hitachi Digital for Latin America. During the presentation, the executive highlighted the economic conditions that allow for long-term investments and assured that "the current state of the macroeconomy allows for long-term planning", a valuation that is supported by the economic policy of the Government of Javier Milei.

Currently, the company has approximately 1,700 employees in Latin America, of which 1,135 work in Argentina, representing about 66% of its regional workforce. With the new expansion program, Hitachi Digital aims to increase its Latin American workforce to 4,500 professionals in the next two years. Of the new hires planned, approximately 2,000 will correspond to the Argentine market.
The multinational also projects significant growth in its regional revenue. According to estimates presented by Bainer, Hitachi Group expects to increase its current USD 120 million in revenue in Latin America to USD 350 million during the period covered by the plan. At the same time, it will seek to increase the region's share within its global business from 7% to approximately 10%.
Regarding job opportunities, the company will seek to hire software developers, designers, infrastructure specialists, cloud services, cybersecurity, and testing, among other professional profiles. Although Buenos Aires will concentrate a large part of the operations, hiring could also extend to other provinces, depending on the needs of each project.

Another highlighted aspect of the announcement was the inauguration of a Demo Zone in Vicente López, a space designed to showcase technological solutions to potential clients. This is one of four such facilities that the multinational has worldwide and the only one located on the American continent.
The decision to concentrate 75% of the regional investments in Argentina reflects the importance the company places on local technological talent. Bainer also highlighted the time zone proximity to North America and the conditions related to the knowledge economy as favorable factors for continuing to expand operations.
