The company announced that from mid-March it will start local production of quad bikes at its Campana plant in the province of Buenos Aires. The decision is part of its strategy of expansion and leadership in the segment. It includes an investment of more than USD 24 million and the hiring of personnel.

The project is framed, according to the automaker, "in a growing market, driven by the demand for mobility solutions that are increasingly versatile and adaptable to different demands".

Production will be carried out on a new exclusive line. This line will be added to the three current motorcycle lines that already operate in the Buenos Aires industrial complex.

Investment and new industrial milestone

The company emphasized that "this new stage of investments is another industrial milestone in Honda's 48-year history in the country". This way, the company reinforces its confidence and commitment to local production, job creation, sustainability, and innovation in the sector.

The investment exceeds USD 24,000,000 and will make it possible to reach a production capacity of 10,000 quad bike units per year.

With this expansion, the company foresees growth of more than 10% in its workforce. Therefore, new hires and jobs will arise at the Campana plant.

The model chosen for this new stage is the Honda TRX420FM, a quad bike with a robust and spectacular design. It is currently sold in Argentina but imported from the United States, with a list price of USD 13,900.

According to the company, "in this evolution, the quad bike becomes a bridge between mobility and productivity, mainly for rural environments where it becomes an essential work tool due to its capacity, maximum efficiency, and agility".

Local manufacturing will make it possible to replace imports and strengthen the supply of a product linked both to recreational use and to rural and productive work.

Located on a 142-hectare site, with 68,000 m² (68,000 m²) covered, the Campana plant currently employs more than 1,000 collaborators and operates with state-of-the-art technology.

The company indicated that the complex guarantees international standards of quality and sustainability. Likewise, in line with its environmental commitment, it operates with a renewable energy supply.

"This way Honda keeps its commitment to expand business in Argentina, offering value to its customers and contributing to the economic and social development of the region", the company stressed in its statement.

The start of production is scheduled for mid-March and is part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening the local presence.

The combination of economic openness, protection of property, and reduction of distortionary burdens is what allows international firms to choose to produce in the country with confidence and stability
