Beto Casella's return to the screen with a new show on América TV has not started yet and is already facing its first controversy. Just hours before the premiere, it emerged that one of the panelists who was going to be part of the show would not be on the team at the start.
The information was released by Carlos Monti on his show on Public TV, where he surprised everyone by stating: "Beto hasn't started and there's already a loss on the team. Joe Fernández is not going to be on the show, it's not like he was going to be there every day either".
The controversy that might have precipitated the decision
The rumor began to gain traction after the comments that Joe Fernández made about Valentín, a young dancer from Teatro Colón, statements that caused repercussions and criticism on social media.

According to Monti's explanation, the absence could be linked to that episode. "It's like everything, that he doesn't participate at the start of this week and if things calm down…", he hinted, implying that the decision would be temporary.
"In some way, the consequences of all this are becoming evident", the host added, referring to the impact caused by the panelist's remarks.
When he was consulted by the show Puro Show, Casella referred to the situation and tried to downplay the version of a resignation. "He wasn't on the permanent staff that is going to be there this year. The channel will decide whether he takes some time", he explained.
He also clarified that the network did not ask him to remove his colleague, although he acknowledged that, given the context, it might be advisable to postpone his participation. "Maybe, if he's being questioned, it's better that he isn't there. Maybe he won't be there the first few days", he maintained.
After the repercussion, Joe Fernández posted a video on his social media in which he publicly apologized to Valentín Fresno. "Hello Valentín, I wanted to publicly apologize to you for what happened on the radio on Wednesday in the segment La Logia del Buen Gusto, where I went too far, I crossed the line, I made inappropriate comments that I shouldn't have made," he stated.
In his message he acknowledged the seriousness of what had happened and offered direct dialogue: "I want to apologize to you, to tell you that I'm here, showing my face for whatever you need to talk about or tell me or say to me." He also reflected on the context in which the comments were made: "In that context one believes that it's funny, and afterwards, when I watched it, I realized that it's neither funny nor anything like it."
