An important English journalist said that Echeverri 'is never going to play' at City.
The communicator claims that the former River player won't have chances in Pep Guardiola's scheme, and that he could leave the Manchester team in the upcoming transfer windows
Claudio Echeverrihasn't yet made his official debut wearing the Manchester City jersey and doubts about his future in European soccer keep growing. His role within the team is still uncertain and, for now, he is relegated in Pep Guardiola's consideration.
Amidst the speculations about a possible departure, the partisan journalist Sam Lee was blunt in his opinion about the former River player's present in the Premier League. "Please, get Echeverri out of your minds. He's never going to play," he stated without filters.

Lee, correspondent for the renowned outlet The Athletic and host of the podcast "Let Me Talk," in which he closely follows Manchester City's current events, wasn't optimistic about the young Argentine's abilities: "From what I've seen, I don't think he's that good. Maybe that's the reason to sell him to Como for 25 million in a few years."
Additionally, the journalist revealed that Echeverri "was never in the plans to play for City at the end of this season" and added that "he's really raw" to compete in the squad of one of the most demanding teams in the world, currently under Guardiola's leadership. A discouraging outlook that casts doubt on the youngster's chances of establishing himself in his new club.
For now, the Catalan coach seeks to gradually integrate him into the team's dynamics, even including him in some trips with the first team on match days. However, so far, the 19-year-old forward hasn't even made the bench in a Premier match and will have to make the most of the upcoming preseason to earn a spot.
