Infinito Open in Córdoba will open in January and aims to attract 450,000 visitors in 2026.

The Infinito Open complex will open on January 3 at its site located between Circunvalación, Costanera, and the Córdoba-Rosario highway. The first stage includes the launch of Infinito Water Park, which has already surpassed 85% completion in its construction. The proposal is part of a larger development that aims to position Córdoba as a regional tourism hub.

The project incorporates an open mall with 46 stores that will add dining and entertainment options with traditional brands and new spaces. It will also feature a sensory museum of 21,528 square feet (2,000 square meters), developed by a team from Córdoba based in Spain. The activities are designed to sustain a constant influx throughout the entire season.

The developer anticipates that the water park will be the largest in Argentina, with an estimated 450,000 visits between January and April. They also forecast the creation of 500 direct jobs and another 1,300 indirect jobs related to operations. These projections aim to reinforce the economic impact within a local market that continues to demand new investments.

An entertainment district with regional ambition

The comprehensive project package also includes an open-air shopping center and a multipurpose stadium called Infinito Arena. This structure will have a capacity for 14,000 people indoors and 50,000 at outdoor events. The developer states that the district will allow the city to expand its offerings in the face of regional tourism competition.

Technical studies estimate that Córdoba receives around six million tourists every summer without managing to attract them en masse to the capital. With this diagnosis, the venture seeks to attract segments such as student tourism, which demand large spaces and diversified activities. The intention is to complement the urban infrastructure with proposals that encourage longer stays.

The entire plan will be executed over a period of 36 to 40 months, with 89 acres (36 hectares) of surface area and more than 2,217,365 square feet (206,000 square meters) of covered space. The final projection indicates that the water park could operate from September to April and receive 830,000 annual visits. Investments have already exceeded the initial amount of 40 million dollars, according to those responsible for the complex.

A water offering of unprecedented scale in the country

The park will cover 32 acres (13 hectares) and will feature more than 50 attractions, 30 slides, and a 1,640-foot (500-meter) lazy river. It will also offer artificial beaches and a pool with 924,602 gallons (3.5 million liters) of water and waves up to 5.9 feet (1.8 meters) high for 2,500 people. The design aims to integrate mass recreation with high-capacity infrastructure.

The site's aesthetics combine jasper canes from Misiones and palm trees from Tucumán and northern Córdoba. It also includes bars, lounge chairs, a VIP area, and a future extreme games area planned for summer 2026-2027. The equipment was supplied by the Spanish company Action Park Waterscapes, which participated along with more than two thousand workers.

In terms of resources, the site will use water obtained from an underground river at a depth of 656 feet (200 meters), with systems that will allow its reuse through multiple daily filtrations. Regarding energy, self-generation systems and low-impact lighting will be installed, with a planned transition to gas and hydrogen. The operation will be complemented by distributed energy caused at Polo 52.
