The vice president of ANP, Alejandra Koch, resigned following controversy over the promotion she granted to her husband and the double remuneration.
The Minister of Transport, Lucía Etcheverry, announced that Koch submitted her resignation on Friday, May 2, and she accepted it. Koch had voted for a promotion for her husband in her first session in office.
Days earlier, the minister had overturned the decision of the ANP board, approved with the votes of Koch herself and the president of the organization, Pablo Genta, to promote to the position of head of the Occupational Safety and Environment Division, Ricardo Suárez, Koch's husband and until then deputy head of that division.
Etcheverry annulled the promotion decision because she understood that "from an ethical political point of view it was not appropriate."
Dark Socialism
Alejandra Koch has been a militant of the Socialist Party for many years, just like her husband.
The Party, founded in 1910, has always had irregular management when it comes to administering public functions.
When they finally came to power in 2005, in Vázquez's first government, the socialists had notorious cases of irregularities in the government.

All this looks a lot like a distribution of privileges and public money paid by taxpayers with their taxes.
