The Israel Defense Forces announced that they had carried out a series of efficient bombings in southern Lebanon
Israelcarried out a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon, leaving at least six people injured, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The attacks were concentrated in the towns of Bnaafoul, in the Saida district, where one person was injured, and Ansar, in the Nabatieh district, where five others were injured by the explosions.
The Israeli Army (IDF) confirmed responsibility for the attacks and stated that the airstrikes targeted facilities belonging to the Hezbollah group, as well as a site used by "Green Without Borders", an organization that presents itself as environmentalist, but which Israel has previously identified as an operational front for Hezbollah for clandestine activities near the border.
These attacks represent a new escalation in the already tense relationship between Israel and Lebanon, particularly in the border region, where sporadic clashes have intensified in recent months.
The Israeli government justifies its operations as part of a campaign to neutralize latent security threats linked to Hezbollah, a group considered a terrorist organization by Israel and several other Western countries, and militarily backed by Iran.
Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun strongly condemned the airstrikes, describing them as "aggression" against civilian infrastructure. According to Aoun, the attacks violate the ceasefire negotiated last year and are part of an Israeli "systematic" strategy to destroy productive facilities, hinder the country's economic recovery, and generate instability under security arguments he considers unfounded.
"Israel's objective is to paralyze our economy and sow chaos, attacking under the false pretext of security," declared the president, who called on the international community to intervene to stop what he described as a "clear violation of international law and the current ceasefire agreements."

Meanwhile, medical personnel and humanitarian organizations are working at the scene to assist the injured and assess material damage. Lebanese authorities are on alert for the possibility of new attacks or a military escalation at the border.
The bombing also reignites regional tensions, in a context of growing volatility in the Middle East. Israel insists that it will continue its operations against Hezbollah to prevent the group from strengthening its presence near the northern border, while from Lebanon it is denounced that these attacks put the civilian population at risk and undermine the country's sovereignty.
