Javier Milei closed La Derecha Fest: 'We are the best government in history'

The massive right-wing event that filled the Quórum Hotel in Córdoba was a complete success

This Tuesday night, President Javier Milei was the central figure at La Derecha Fest, a massive event that filled the Quórum Hotel in Córdoba with more than 2,500 activists who paid for tickets, reflecting the fervor and growing support for the libertarian government's ideas. The gathering, organized by La Derecha Diario, was a success.

Milei arrived at the venue after 9:30 p.m., entering through the crowd to the rhythm of Panic Show, greeting the writer Agustín Laje and the influencer known as "Gordo Dan." At the beginning of his speech, the president encouraged his supporters and called on them to sing "TAKE THE PENGUIN OUT OF THE DRAWER SO HE CAN SEE THAT THE KIDS HAVE CHANGED THEIR MINDS AND CARRY THE FLAG BROUGHT BY THE LION."

During his speech, Milei strongly attacked Kirchnerism, which he accused of hypocrisy for criticizing the current pension policy after having left pensions "at 80 dollars" during its administration. In contrast, he defended the current direction, pointing out that pensions exceed 350 dollars in a more open and competitive economy. "We're the best government in history," he stated, then praised Minister Federico Sturzenegger and highlighted the reformist drive of his administration.

"With DNU 7023 and the bases law, with their reforms, we've made 2,800 structural reforms, 28 times more than Menem did. In a year and a half, we've erased one hundred years of legitimism and we're not going to stop until we're the freest country in the world. We're proud to be extreme reformists," Milei asserted in a triumphant tone.

The president also looked ahead to the legislative elections in October: "Today we have only 15% of the deputies and 10% of the senators, but this march doesn't stop. The accomplices of the old system are a lost cause and many will be surprised by the results," he said. One of the sharpest moments was when he lashed out at his vice president, Victoria Villarruel, calling her "a brute traitor."

In ideological terms, Milei also delved into the "cultural battle," pointing out that "this is where it's decided who is right and why. History has repeatedly shown that whoever prevails in culture ends up prevailing in the political arena," and called for promoting the ideas of freedom "in every City Council, on every radio and TV channel in the country." "The battle must be fought so that the left is only a bad dream," he concluded, while the audience gave him a standing ovation.
