Javier Milei gave a speech at the inauguration of the Corporación América building
The president recalled his employment relationship with the company and targeted the Kirchnerist opposition
President Javier Milei participated on Monday in the inauguration of the new Corporación América building, one of the country's most influential business conglomerates, where he recalled his nearly fifteen-year working relationship with the company and targeted the opposition.
“It's an honor to be here, I truly feel at home”, Milei began, highlighting that he had worked for the firm since 2008 and also served as an economic advisor to companies in the group, including Proden S.A. and Helport S.A.
“Today I am here, mainly in my role as President of the Nation, celebrating that a company so crucial for the country continues to invest in our land. I am also here as the economist who managed to work almost 15 years at the company, which I consider practically my second home”, the president added.

Milei recalled anecdotes from his time at the company and took the opportunity to thank his Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, whom he praised for “facing the orcs of Congress every day”, alluding to the opposition that blocks several of his initiatives, which are supported by Argentines.
"It's not that the Government lacks politics; it doesn't lack politics, those on the other side want to destroy everything", he added in reference to Kirchnerism, who are "destabilizers who want to destroy the economic plan, destroy the country, promoting projects that seek to break fiscal balance by approving all kinds of absurdities".

The president concluded his speech by talking about collaboration between the private sector and the Government, and reaffirmed his confidence in his management skills: "Both the public and private sectors must redouble efforts so that the only goal is to move the country forward. On the State's side, we create the conditions for you to do well. If the private sector is the locomotive, the public sector must clear the weeds".
"I don't care about the damage they may cause, if I turned around a 100-year fiscal deficit in one month, do you think I'm going to worry about what they'll do to me for two months", the head of state concluded.
Milei's day will continue in the province of Buenos Aires. This Monday at 5:30 p.m. he will lead an event at the Teatro San Carlos, in Junín, where he will officially present the La Libertad Avanza candidates ahead of the upcoming legislative elections.
