Javier Milei filed a criminal complaint against three journalists for slander and libel.
These are 'journalists' who labeled the president as a dictator or even compared him to the Nazi Adolf Hitler
President Javier Milei initiated legal actions this Friday for "slander and libel" against three "journalists" who publicly attacked him with lies and reprehensible comments. The cases have already been distributed among different federal courts in the city of Buenos Aires.
The criminal complaints are directed against Carlos Pagni, Viviana Canosa, and Ari Lijalad, and were filed in the Comodoro Py courts. By lottery, the cases fell under the jurisdiction of federal judges Daniel Rafecas and Sebastián Ramos, who must now decide whether to formally admit them.
Milei had already anticipated the initiation of these lawsuits during an interview broadcast via streaming last Thursday. Back then, he stated he had ready "three complaints against different journalists" for "lies" spread about him.

"One is for calling me a 'Nazi.' The president of Israel came out to support me. It's the trivialization of the Holocaust," the president expressed on the program "La Misa," hosted by influencer Daniel "Gordo Dan" Parisini.
The reasons for the complaints
According to reports, the complaint against Carlos Pagni is based on statements made on April 28 in his program "Odisea Argentina." In the document presented by Milei, it is argued that the journalist outlined a "historical account of the Nazi regime with the clear intention of leading the reader to an insidious comparison" between dictator Adolf Hitler and the current Argentine president.
In the case of Viviana Canosa, the complaint is based on statements in which she labeled the president as a "despot" and "authoritarian," drawing parallels with figures from dictatorial regimes. Regarding Ari Lijalad, the legal filing also refers to an alleged comparison between Milei and dictator Adolf Hitler.

These legal filings occur in a context of increasing confrontation between the president and the most entrenched and "enveloped" sectors of journalism. In the same interview where he announced these complaints, Milei intensified his criticism against the media, accusing them of being "prostitutes of politicians," and emphasized that society "doesn't hate them enough," due to the large amount of lies they spread against him.
