In an extensive interview given on Wednesday on Radio Mitre, President Javier Milei reflected on his two years in office. He also defended the solidity of the economic program and denounced a coordinated attempt at destabilization.
With a tone that was both confident and reflective, he stated that the results achieved prove that Argentina "chose the right path" and that society "decided to embrace freedom."
When analyzing his rise to power, Milei acknowledged that he is experiencing the process with deep gratitude: "Argentines trusted that the ideas of freedom could work, when many said it was a leap into the void." He added: "The facts showed that not only could we do the things we said, but we could do them faster and better."
The President reviewed the main economic milestones and again defended fiscal discipline as the central pillar of the program. He recalled that "zero deficit was achieved in the first month, the quasi-fiscal deficit was eliminated in six months, and the money supply is now stabilized."
He also explained that these advances allow for projecting inflation close to zero by the middle of next year, even after months of political pressure. He also emphasized that economic activity surprised on the upside and that, contrary to forecasts, real wages began to outpace inflation since last April.
Attempts to destabilize the government
Milei devoted a central section to describing the political and economic attack that—according to him—sought to bring down his program. "There was a brutal attempt to unseat the government. Political sectors, crony businessmen, union leaders, media outlets, and economists acting as professional hitmen all participated."
The president reviewed the consequences of those attacks: "They took the country risk from 560 to 1,500 points, destroyed companies' working capital, and caused a dollarization of 42% of M2. It was a coordinated attack to break the economic program, but even so, we stood firm and kept doing what needed to be done."
Javier Milei keeps that the public understood that scenario and decided to support the direction taken. Surprised by the victory in Buenos Aires Province, he highlighted that "the only person who saw that result clearly was Karina," whom he described as a political figure "underestimated, but with enormous capacity both in management and strategy."
Media lies, independent justice, and geopolitics
Milei targeted media operations and categorically denied the rumors about a pact with Kirchnerism, a constitutional reform, or the elimination of the monotributo. "All lies," he stated, repeating that these rumors always arise during election periods to "smear the Government."
He also stressed that his administration doesn't interfere with the Judiciary and emphasized: "If we want to have a Republic, the justice system must be independent. I don't get involved in the justice system." Despite that, he said:"There are things I consider wrong, but I keep quiet because it is up to the justice system to do what it has to do."

Regarding international policy, he asserted that Argentina has once again taken on a relevant role in the world and assured that today the country is "playing Champions." He explained that the trade agreement with the United States is progressing and also pointed out that the country's foreign strategy is based on a clear geopolitical vision that did not exist in previous decades.
A solid team and continuity of direction
Toward the end, Milei spoke about the internal cohesion of the Cabinet and the "horizontal" relationship with his ministers. He described the team as a "scrum" that withstood critical moments with professionalism and commitment. He denied internal tensions and maintained that replacements were due to completed cycles, not conflicts.
Finally, he offered a more personal reflection: "Life is about learning every day, especially in the electric chair. I adjusted my approach so that ideas could be discussed. But my reformist conviction is the same as always."
The full interview left the image of a president who feels strengthened after withstanding the pressure. He reaffirms the achievements attained and assures that Argentina is moving toward a model of freedom that is here to stay.
