Javier Milei confirmed the 'Iron Triangle' of his administration and stated that he will seek re-election in 2027
In a week marked by political and economic turmoil ahead of the legislative elections, President Javier Milei clearly defined the heart of libertarian power: a "Iron Triangle" made up of Karina Milei, Santiago Caputo, and Guillermo Francos. According to the president, this triad leads political coordination, communication strategy, and the relationship with the rest of the political system.
Javier Milei explicó cómo funciona la política en su gobierno: "Hay un Triángulo de Hierro político ahora, que es Santiago Caputo como estratega, mi hermana como armadora de política territorial, y Guillermo Francos de vincular con el resto de la política
"I work hyperactively with 6 of the 8 ministries. The functioning of the Government is organized differently," Milei specified in public statements. "There is a political Iron Triangle now: Santiago Caputo as strategist, my sister as coordinator, and Francos as the one in charge of liaising with politics. Only matters that need my approval go up. I am 100% focused on management."
Within this differentiated work scheme, Milei drew a distinction between long-term tasks—focused on structural reforms—and short-term demands, where key players in the economy and security stand out.

"That has a long-term and a current aspect. The long-term, which has to do with the upcoming reforms and is the entire set of measures that will appear starting December 11, has three central elements: one is increasing returns, which is all about deregulation, handled by Sturzenegger. There, Human Capital, led by Pettovello, plays an essential role. The other key element is foreign relations, and that's Werthein," he detailed.
Regarding the current situation, the President was emphatic: "You have to make it to October. That is fought in the short term, which is Toto (Luis Caputo) in Economy and Patricia (Bullrich) in Security." He firmly outlined his political horizon: "In 2027 I will be reelected. I am talking about the sequence of reforms from 25 to 27."
"¿Sabés qué me di cuenta? Los kukas no son una casta, son una secta. No le importan los datos, tienen el cerebro lavado": La frase del presidente Javier Milei sobre la enfermedad mental que es el kirchnerismo.
The consolidation of the power circle had its practical counterpart in the meeting held this Tuesday on the first floor of Casa Rosada, where Karina Milei and Santiago Caputo received Congressman José Luis Espert, political coordinator Eduardo "Lule" Menem, Martín Pareja, and other key leaders in the Buenos Aires organization. The meeting, held in strict secrecy, aimed to deepen the electoral strategy ahead of the September (provincial level) and October (national level) legislative elections.
The participation of Espert responds to the need to coordinate the campaign across different levels of the State, especially in the province of Buenos Aires, where seats will be renewed in the Legislature, the provincial Senate, and the deliberative councils. Although some internal tensions still persist, recent weeks have marked a rapprochement between Caputo and "Lule" Menem, who until now had mainly focused on the federal organization. According to reports, it was Karina Milei herself who facilitated the reconciliation.

"Lule" began to take on a greater role in the Buenos Aires organization, and his alignment with the presidential strategist represents a key step to safeguard libertarian unity. Javier Milei himself reportedly requested weeks ago to stop internal friction and focus on the common mission.
Meanwhile, the head of state also referred to the recent rise of the dollar recorded on Tuesday, accompanied by his most trusted economic team: Minister Luis "Toto" Caputo, Central Bank President Santiago Bausili, and Finance Secretary Pablo Quirno.

"We knew that since it is an election year, given how the economy was going, with real wages soaring and poverty decreasing... The economy is expanding between 5 and 7%. It was obvious they were going to try to do harm. We prepared for them to do harm. They were going to try to break things, because that's all they have," Milei stated clearly.
He concluded with a phrase that exposes the ideological background of the opposition: "The kukas are a cult. They don't care about the data, their brains are washed." This way, the President once again pointed out that opposition sectors do not accept the success of the libertarian economic program, which is already showing concrete signs of recovery, such as lower inflation, increased activity, and the reactivation of formal employment.
"Nosotros queremos un país donde el PBI per cápita sea de $80.000 dólares, queremos ser como Estados Unidos. O como Irlanda, $110.000 dólares, pero eso no se alcanza de un día para el otro"
Meanwhile, Milei ironically dismantled a media operation promoted by Kirchnerist sectors that tried to suggest an alleged dispute with Minister Caputo: "There is Toto, with whom we supposedly fought. Hehehe... it's great, because supposedly we fought in Casa Rosada and I was in Olivos."
Caputo was also clear in denying the rumors and explained why there is no basis for a currency run like those experienced during previous governments: "Peronism is very bad at governing, but very good at destabilizing. When they're not in power, they meddle. They always look for some issue to try to destabilize."
The minister precisely detailed the three conditions that have historically explained currency crises, and why they are not present today: "First, there must be a current account deficit: today there is a surplus of 1.8. Second, that this deficit finances a large fiscal deficit: now we have a surplus. Third, there must be a fixed exchange rate: now it is floating."
His arguments were celebrated by Milei, who added with a smile: "It floats, the exchange rate, it floats." The President also revealed that his team was already prepared for these attempts at agitation by the opposition: "We knew that the 'kukas' were going to do this, so we said: let's reinforce monetary policy. We entered the election year tightening fiscal policy and monetary policy." "We are not willing to negotiate the interest rate, nor price freedom, nor anything," he confirmed.
