Javier Milei thanked Donald Trump for the release of the Argentine hostages from Hamas.

President Javier Milei celebrated the release of the three Argentines kidnapped by the terrorist group Hamas—Eitan Horn, David, and Ariel Cunio—thanks to the mediation of United States President, Donald Trump. The Argentine leader expressed his appreciation to the American leader, whom he considered a "dear friend" and an "example of leadership" for his decisive role in the agreement that ended the war in Gaza.

Through his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Milei wrote:

"My deepest admiration and gratitude to President @realDonaldTrump for his extraordinary leadership and his courage to end the war, also achieving the release of all the hostages, including three Argentines—Eitan Horn, Ariel, and David Cunio—".

The head of state also referred to the case of Lior Rudaeff, an Argentine-Israeli citizen killed during the October 7, 2023 attack, and emphasized the need to recover his body so that his family "can say goodbye to him in peace."

Milei, a staunch ally of Israel and defender of the Western axis, highlighted Trump's role as a leader committed to the values of freedom and life. "Thank you, President Trump. Your commitment to life, freedom, and peace has restored hope to the world.
