The former candidate had some unusual words of praise for the Republican in a recent interview
Former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered an unusual compliment to her archrival Donald Trump during a recent interview. In the same interview, the ultra-Democrat acknowledged the work of her political opponent and current president for achieving peace in Gaza.
"I truly congratulate President Trump and his administration," Clinton told CBS News last Friday. "As well as the Arab leaders in the region, for committing to the 20-point plan and seeing a way forward for what is often called 'the day after'," she added.
Clinton's comments came just one day after Trump, in a surprising diplomatic move, got Hamas to accept his peace plan for Gaza and the region. This plan includes the release of the Israeli hostages kidnapped by the terrorist group two years ago, who, at this time, are already returning to their lands (two years ago).

Other Democrats surrender to Trump
The agreement also includes the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip once Hamas is disarmed and a transitional government for the enclave led by an international body is appointed. The presidential plan refers to the aspiration for an "independent Palestinian state," although those terms remained unclear in the agreement.
In her statements, Clinton described Trump's move to bring Netanyahu to the negotiating table after Hamas leaders were attacked by the Israeli army in Qatar as "shrewd." "That opened an opportunity for both President Trump and his representatives to bring together all the regional powers," the opposition leader analyzed.
Although her attitude is surprising, Clinton is not the only Democrat who has praised Trump's diplomacy. Jake Sullivan, former national security adviser to Biden and a staunch Democrat, reluctantly credited the Republican with ending the war.
True to his style and sense of revenge, the only opponent who refrained from praising the sitting president -although he did have words of praise for the peace agreement in his post on platform X- was the leader of the Democratic movement and former President Barack Obama.
