Since the arrival of Arturo, her second child and the first with Matías Palleiro, Jimena Barón, she is going through a deeply sensitive and transformative moment. True to her style, the actress and singer decided to share with her followers on social media not only the happiness she is experiencing with her baby, but also the fears, doubts, and demands that accompany postpartum and recent motherhood.
In a lengthy and emotional post on her Instagram account, La Cobra shared everyday images with her son and reflected on the emotional contrasts she is experiencing. "Three weeks. I measure my independence by the number of times I wash my hair. Who wants independence with this precious little keychain I have?" she wrote, revealing the level of devotion and connection she is experiencing with her baby.
The complexity of breastfeeding and self-demand
One of the most honestly addressed topics by the artist was breastfeeding. "Breastfeeding is beautiful but it's not easy," she acknowledged. "The baby eats every 2/3 hours, but counting the time it takes to eat (and burp), you're practically breastfeeding all day. Left, right, right, left said the 'pueri.' Blessed are the lactation consultants," she expressed with gratitude toward the specialists who are supporting her through the process.
Jimena also put into words a feeling that many mothers experience in silence: self-demand. "My partner is my team and this work together fills me with pride, but sometimes I miss him. I haven't quite gotten the timing down and I feel like I can't spend time with him the way I'd like. Patience. Lots of it. And less self-demand, Jimena", she told herself.

Throughout the text, the Floricienta actress also spoke about the impact of sharing her motherhood on social media, a space that often lacks compassion. "It's difficult to share about motherhood because everything is read as a complaint and you're instantly criticized. What if we wanted to complain? Most likely we haven't slept or one of our breasts hurts, or our back, or we would've loved to eat with both hands but just then the baby fell asleep..." she wrote, referring to the criticism she often receives.
