In the midst of the attempt at a coup d'état, Bolivia is experiencing turmoil, as the communist deputy from Unión por la Patria, Juan Grabois, attempted to criticize the government of Rodrigo Paz for the current situation, although his statements ended up inadvertently exposing the destruction of the country under the socialist governments and Evo Morales.

“People can endure until they can’t take it anymore, just look at what’s happening in Bolivia, people endured for a good few years,” Grabois stated in an interview referring to the Bolivian social scenario.

However, the assertion quickly generated questions on social media, as the current president, Rodrigo Paz Pereira, took office on November 8, 2025, which means it has been only six months.

In this way, Grabois pointed out, without realizing it, his ally and friend Evo Morales as responsible for the severe crisis the country is experiencing.

The Crisis in Bolivia

Bolivia is facing a scenario marked by violent disturbances, road blockades, and shortages of basic products.

This situation, driven by sectors aligned with Evo Morales, has paralyzed the circulation of goods and deepened the economic crisis inherited from the previous socialist government, particularly affecting the supply of food, fuel, and medicine.

The blockades began after the Bolivian Justice issued an arrest warrant against the former dictator Morales, who is being investigated for multiple serious crimes.

The former president faces a central case for aggravated human trafficking, in which he is accused of having maintained a relationship with a minor during his presidency, with whom he allegedly had a daughter.

This case advanced to the oral trial stage and resulted in a capture order after Morales failed to appear before the Justice, leading to him being declared in rebellion.

Additionally, there are other complaints and investigations against him related to crimes against minors, including accusations of abuse and trafficking of adolescents in previous years.

Over time, various cases have also been opened for other crimes, ranging from sedition and terrorism to electoral fraud and sexual abuse, forming a broad judicial front that is still developing.

Even in the current context, Morales continues to evade his arrest while still having influence over the mobilized sectors.

Thus, Grabois's statements, which aimed to question the current Bolivian government, ended up highlighting that the current crisis is linked to the blockades promoted by Evo Morales and also to decades of socialism.
