Ultra-Kirchnerist journalist Julia Mengolini broke down in tears as she publicly denounced a harassment campaign on social media accusing her of having an incestuous relationship with her brother.

The founder of Futurock radio expressed her anguish in a message sent to K journalist Nancy Pazos, while she was hosting her show on the C5N channel.

"This case is disgusting, they're really going too far. Well, that's it... I broke down, Nancy, I can't take it anymore," Mengolini said, who broke down in tears, apparently affected by the situation.

For more than a week, allegedly fake images and videos have been circulating on social media, supposedly showing a sexual relationship between Mengolini and her brother.

The reason for the campaign 

However, far from being a random attack, the reason for this virtual campaign is a statement Mengolini made in 2023, during the presidential campaign, in which she had falsely accused then-deputy and candidate Javier Milei of being "in love with his sister."

"This may seem funny and stupid at first, but they've been pushing it for more than a week. These are videos made with artificial intelligence where I'm having sex with my brother, it's disgusting," Mengolini complained, even though she ran the same campaign of lies against President Milei.

Mengolini's false accusations

The ultra-Kirchnerist journalist who now complains about these lies did the same thing during the 2023 presidential campaign. "He's a man who lives with eight dogs and is in love with his sister," Mengolini said at the time.

She added, while laughing: "I gave a description, I didn't make a value judgment. He lives with eight dogs and he himself says he's in love with his sister."

Far from apologizing, Mengolini continued with her lies: "He's in love with his sister and that's not right," she added, before mentioning her anthropology studies at UBA.

"At all times, in every culture and place in human history, there's only one thing that remains a taboo, and that's the taboo of incest. One doesn't fall in love with or form a couple with siblings," she emphasized.

Some time after Mengolini broke down in tears while denouncing that she's the target of a campaign accusing her of having an incestuous relationship with her brother, President Milei reacted by sharing several posts about the topic.

Among the phrases he shared on X were: "How they cry when payback comes," "If you like peaches, deal with the fuzz," and "Deal with it, Mengolini."

"Confirmed that journalists can't handle even a week of their own medicine," posted Buenos Aires deputy Agustín Romo on X, in a comment that was also shared by the President.
