Television host Pamela David issued a public apology to the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, after having stated on her program that the official was wearing "a $35,000 Rolex." The accusation, made on América's screen, provoked an immediate reaction from the President's sister, who not only disproved the claim with evidence, but also announced that she would take the case to court. In a post on X, Karina Milei wrote: "The watch they're showing is a Grovana brand, it's worth less than $1,000 and I bought it with the fruits of my labor long before Javier Milei launched his presidential campaign."
Hours later, Pamela David had to publicly admit her mistake: "Karina, I want to apologize. I was wrong. I spoke hastily based on an image and made a mistake. Nobility obliges: I acknowledge my mistake and I ask your forgiveness, with no excuses. Tomorrow I will confirm it live."
Far from being satisfied, the official replied harshly: "I'm waiting for tomorrow's clarification on your program, Pamela. I assume it will have the same enthusiasm with which you spread the lie today. It's good to acknowledge when one is wrong, but when the mistake is always on the same side, the bias becomes evident," she stated.
"You should also apologize for all the times in the last 2 years that you've defamed the President with lies, slandering and insulting nonstop, with the sole objective of politically benefiting your friends. Last but not least, I want to highlight that every time you acted in their favor, it was to the detriment of the Argentine people. Sending you a kiss," she concluded.
