The president also stated that she will seek to toughen penalties for those who are part of criminal organizations and will promote legal reforms to expedite judicial processes related to violent crimes.
In her message, the head of State also expressed her support for police and military forces, highlighting the role they play in the fight against crime. She noted that her government will promote greater coordination among the various institutions responsible for public security and will implement specific plans to recover neighborhoods and areas affected by high crime rates.
The security proposals are part of the government program with which Keiko Fujimori won the presidential elections and were one of the main axes of her campaign.
