Javier Alonso, the disastrous Security Minister of Buenos Aires province, held a press conference in which he explained the progress in the case of the three young women murdered after having disappeared in La Matanza.
"The girls fell into a trap set by a drug trafficking organization, they killed them," stated the Kirchnerist official from Axel Kicillof. He also indicated that four people have been arrested, accused of the homicide.
The official explained that the victims were lured by a "transnational drug trafficking organization" with the promise of attending a fake party. "It is an organization that operates at various points of sale in the southern suburbs of the province. They reportedly chose this house to carry out this murder," he specified.

Additionally, when questioned by the press, the minister pointed out that the young women used to frequent the Flores area, where they reportedly had contact with members of this criminal organization.
"Some incident that occurred led to this revenge. They were deceived into attending this event, and at that event, they met their deaths," he added. This Wednesday, after extensive police work, it was confirmed that the bodies of the three girls were found buried in a house in Florencio Varela.
The families of Morena Verdi (21), Brenda del Castillo (20), and Lara Morena Gutiérrez (15) identified the bodies. The corresponding autopsy will be performed in the coming hours.

The discovery of the three bodies took place this morning, after investigators traced the route of the white van in which the three young women had gotten in on Friday night in the western part of Greater Buenos Aires.
That lead brought investigators to Florencio Varela. There, yesterday afternoon, the police conducted a raid on a house located at the intersection of Chañar and Río Jachal streets. At the scene, they found a bloodstain and arrested two people, a man and a woman, who are believed to have cleaned up the scene of the triple homicide.
The series of raids in the Santa Rosa and Mayol neighborhoods culminated in an operation at a second house, also located in Florencio Varela, where during the early morning hours the bodies of the victims were finally found.
