Kirchnerism seeks to reject vetoes and approve bills that would destroy the surplus.

The opposition, led by the K, seeks today in the Chamber of Deputies to destroy the country's economy

This Wednesday, the opposition, led by Kirchnerism, seeks in the Chamber of Deputies to reject the president's vetoes and decrees of Javier Milei, and to promote a set of initiatives that, if approved, would mean the destruction of the fiscal surplus and the economic stability achieved in recent months.

If this happens, the country would be at risk of returning to a situation of large fiscal deficit, generating a severe economic crisis and an increase in inflation, which would send millions of Argentines into poverty.

Among the main topics to be debated today are the rejection of the veto on the emergency in Bahía Blanca and Coronel Rosales, which requires a two-thirds majority, and the annulment of the decree that eliminated national trusts and funds, which could be approved by a simple majority.

These measures are joined by the creation of an Investigative Commission on the $Libra cryptocurrency, and the amendment of Law 11,672 related to National Treasury Contributions (ATN). All of these, if approved today, would automatically become law.

However, there are also other projects with significant economic impact that would move to the Senate if they manage to surpass the two-thirds threshold in the Chamber of Deputies. Notable among them are the declaration of emergency in disability, the extraordinary increase in pensions, and the extension of the pension moratorium, three initiatives that seriously compromise public finances. There is also an amendment to the Criminal Tax Regime that, with a simple majority, could advance to the Senate.

The situation becomes even more concerning due to the possibility that, with the support of two-thirds of those present, the opposition could immediately incorporate any other project without committee approval, then approve it and send it to the Upper House. This mechanism opens the door to a festival of improvised measures, without proper technical debate, that could destroy the country's economy.

Far from being concerned about the people, the opposition's strategy has no other objective than to destroy the fiscal surplus and undermine Milei's economic model, which not only managed to recover the country from the economic crisis inherited from Kirchnerism, but also caused, in a short time, significant economic growth.
