Kirchnerism uses municipal buses to transport its supporters to vote

Buses belonging to the municipality of San Martín are being used to transport activists

A video recorded by a voter sparked controversy this Sunday by denouncing a major Kirchnerist fraud during election day in the province of Buenos Aires.

The footage shows a group of people getting off a bus identified with the sign Social Tourism from the Secretariat of Educational, Cultural, and Sports Integration of the Municipality of San Martín. According to the complaint, the buses belonging to the municipality are being used to transport Kirchnerist activists to polling stations, with the aim of altering the election results.

The situation directly involves the Minister of Infrastructure and Public Services of the province, Gabriel Katopodis, and prompted strong criticism from the national government. “Extremely serious! They're using public resources (which belong to everyone) to take people to vote for Fuerza Patria. The municipality of San Martín should provide an explanation,” stated Diego Valenzuela, candidate for La Libertad Avanza and mayor of Tres de Febrero, on social media, sharing the video of the complaint.

The incident took place on Sunday morning in San Martín, a district governed by Peronism and which is also renewing its Deliberative Council today. The scene was recorded by someone close to Daniel Mollo, candidate for councilor for La Libertad Avanza.

In response to the criticism, one of the women getting off the bus tried to justify herself: “No one is denied the right to vote.” The episode reignited accusations of using public resources for electoral mobilization, a recurring practice of Peronism, especially in the province of Buenos Aires.
