Lerner canceled his tour in Uruguay and the controversy erupted: 'The numbers didn't add up'

The singer blamed the organizers, but the production denied it and warned of legal actions

Alejandro Lerner announced the suspension of his tour in Uruguay, sparking a strong conflict with local producers. The musician explained that the cancellation was due to an alleged abandonment by the organizers.

However, the tour's organizers quickly replied, denying his statements and attributing the decision to the artist's own financial problems. They also assured that they never left him alone and maintained constant contact with his team.

Cross accusations after the cancellation

Lerner posted a message on Instagram to announce the cancellation, accompanied by a photo he took on Friday night. "I stayed until the end," he wrote, referring to the concerts scheduled in San José, Florida, and Durazno.

In his statement, he claimed that the producers "disappeared" and that the team had to stay in Uruguay until the next day to return. This caused outrage among his followers, who demanded clearer explanations.

The producer's response and the tickets sold

Adrián Minutti, the tour's producer, was the first to publicly refute the singer. He assured that the production never left and even had conversations until the early morning with Lerner's manager.

He also revealed ticket sales data to demonstrate that the tour had public support. According to him, more than 200 tickets were sold in Durazno, another 200 in Florida, and more than 400 in another unspecified location.

Minutti suggested that the real reason for the cancellation might have been financial: "He has a team of more than 15 people, and it seems that the internal numbers didn't add up for him," he stated. Even so, he criticized him for the way he handled the situation.

"You can't leave people stranded. We sold tickets, and he should have valued our effort," he concluded. He also acknowledged that despite the conflict, Lerner always showed kindness and respect during the previous arrangements.

Possible legal consequences

The production company Color Uruguay confirmed that they will take legal action against Alejandro Lerner. In a statement, they accused him of "lying" and "disrespecting the Uruguayan public."

The text notes that Lerner performed on Thursday, April 3, at the Radisson Victoria Plaza in Montevideo. He was then supposed to perform at the Teatro Macció (San José), the Teatro Español (Durazno), and the Teatro 25 de Agosto (Florida).

These performances were part of the "Vuelven los lentos" tour, with which the artist revisited his most popular ballads. According to the production company, the cancellation of the shows was unilateral and without justified reasons.

The controversy remains, and it is not ruled out that the conflict may escalate in the judicial arena. Meanwhile, the Uruguayan public continues to await a definitive explanation from the Argentine musician.
