Mediapro will no longer be the audiovisual producer for LaLiga and will be taken over by HBS.

Host Broadcast Services is recognized for being the main producer of the World Cups since 2002

LaLiga from Spain announced on Monday a renewal in its audiovisual content providers. From now on, it will stop working with Mediapro and Host Broadcast Services (HBS) will take over the production of the Spanish championship matches.

This change occurs in a context marked by the constant complaints from Real Madrid in recent months, related to the broadcasts of LaLiga matches, especially regarding the replays that were aired during the games, according to the newspaper AS.

LaLiga announces the selection of audiovisual production providers for the next five seasons, choosing HBS and Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales as the companies in charge.

HBS is a major company in the European field, with an extensive track record as host broadcaster in all FIFA World Cups since 2002. It has also participated in other high-level competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, the European Championship, and the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, TSA (Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales) will be in charge of lot 4, related to contribution and distribution. The company has solid experience in major sports coverage such as the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, or the Olympic Games, excelling in the management of infrastructures for national and international broadcasters.

Regarding lot 5, linked to content generation, LaLiga decided not to award it after evaluating the received offers. The corresponding services will be strategically integrated with other content that the organization must contract and that were not included in this tender.
