The liberal youth of Latin America continues to gain prominence and strengthen its ties with the main political figures of the new right in the region. This was demonstrated during a tour of the Southern Cone featuring Alfonso Muñoz Ruiz and Miguel Alonso Cancino, representatives of the Spanish liberal movement.

The tour included high-level meetings in Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, where they were able to meet with presidents Javier Milei and José Antonio Kast, two of the figures having the greatest impact on the expansion of the ideas of freedom in Latin America. The youth presented the Free Youth Award from the Austrian Libertarian Association to the Argentine president.

One of the central moments of the visit took place in Buenos Aires, where Alfonso Muñoz Ruiz was privately received by President Javier Milei.

During the meeting, Muñoz Ruiz and representatives of the liberal organizations presented Milei with the Free Youth Award of Latin America, a distinction awarded this year in recognition of his leadership and defense of the ideas of freedom.

The liberal leader later highlighted the opportunity to present to the Argentine President the work developed by the organizations both nationally and internationally.

The meeting also allowed for firsthand insight into Milei's perspective on the present and future of the liberal movement, at a time when the political and economic model promoted by the Argentine Government is generating increasing interest among youth from different countries.

They also met with José Antonio Kast in Chile

The tour continued in Santiago, where Alfonso Muñoz Ruiz and Miguel Alonso Cancino were received by the president of Chile, José Antonio Kast.

The meeting served to strengthen ties between the Spanish liberal movement and the new Chilean leadership. The representatives had the opportunity to greet and congratulate Kast on his work in security, one of the main pillars of his political agenda.

The meeting in Chile thus completed a tour that allowed the young liberals to meet with two presidents who represent a new stage for the right and liberalism in the region.

Milei and Kast, leaders of a new generation

The meetings with Milei and Kast reflect the growth of a new generation of liberal leaders and activists seeking to build international networks and take the ideas of freedom beyond national borders.

In this sense, the presence of figures like Muñoz Ruiz and Alonso Cancino shows that the liberal movement has an increasingly active young generation interested in participating in political debate and generating ties with governments that share a good part of their principles.

Argentina and Chile thus emerge as two of the main stages of this new phase of Hispanic American liberalism, with Milei and Kast as political references of a current seeking to influence the direction of the region.

For the protagonists of the tour, the journey through the Southern Cone also left a significant political message: the liberal youth is building international ties and is beginning to occupy an increasingly important place in the expansion of the ideas of freedom.
