The scene takes place in a bar in New York, an iconic city in the Spider-Man universe. There, Messi enters the establishment while Peter Parker, played by Holland, is on a phone call. Upon recognizing the world champion, the actor interrupts the call and cannot hide his surprise.
“Are you Messi? Are you looking for Spider-Man?” he asks with evident enthusiasm. The footballer responds with a brief “yes.”
Moments later, Holland disappears from the scene to transform into Spider-Man. Now in the costume of the popular superhero, he reappears behind the Argentine forward and invites him to experience something unique: they both soar over the buildings of New York as the character uses his classic webs to navigate the city.
Messi's participation represents a new foray for the Rosario native into the world of entertainment and film, solidifying his presence in international campaigns alongside some of Hollywood's most recognized franchises.
