[VIDEO]: Manuel Adorni exclusively with La Derecha Diario
The candidate for legislator for the City of Buenos Aires from La Libertad Avanza spoke with this outlet ahead of the Buenos Aires elections
Just days before the upcoming elections in Buenos Aires on Sunday, May 18, the presidential spokesperson and new candidate for La Libertad Avanza, Manuel Adorni, spoke exclusively with La Derecha Diario to confirm that his candidacy is not a personal adventure, but a strategic mission in the crusade led by the president, Javier Milei.
La Derecha Diario entrevistó al vocero presidencial Manuel Adorni
According to various opinion polls, Adorni leads the ranking of positive image among the candidates competing in the City. This consolidates him as a key figure of the ruling party.
"This is not a management election. Jorge Macri will continue to manage. What is at stake on Sunday is the model: that of Kirchnerism or that of freedom," Adorni stated with conviction. He specifically pointed out unnecessary spending, excessive public employment, and suffocating taxes. "There are 17 lists, but 16 are more of the same: more State, more taxes. We are the only option proposing to cut spending and give money back to the people," he emphasized.

Adorni defended the economic measures promoted by the national Government, including the end of "scams" and the reduction of import tariffs on technology. "It is not reasonable to force Argentines to pay more for a TV to sustain an inefficient industry," he declared, and sharply replied to the criticisms from the governor of Tierra del Fuego. "We must compete, not subsidize privileges."
Manuel did not shy away from the conflict with major media outlets. He denounced media operations by Grupo Clarín and argued that many attacks stem from the fact that Milei's government eliminated official advertising. "We govern with zero pesos in advertising. That bothers. But we prefer criticism to lies," he assured. He also praised his time as the presidential spokesperson: "We have transformed a discredited role into a serious communication channel with the citizenry."
The spokesperson was categorical in pointing out that voting for Leandro Santoro is voting for "Cristina, Massa, Alberto, the Olivos party, and the VIP vaccination center." He also took aim at the PRO, accusing it of being functional to Kirchnerism. "The PRO is obsolete. Today it runs the same campaign as Santoro: without a chainsaw, everything remains the same. If you want to stop Kirchnerism, you have to vote for us," he stated.

Adorni did not forget to highlight the figure of Karina Milei, whom he considers "an integral, honest, decent, generous person, and a key reason for my candidacy.""I work for her, with her, and we make a wonderful team," he confessed, hinting that it was she who encouraged him to make the leap to the Buenos Aires campaign.
"I don't matter. What wins on Sunday are the ideas of freedom. Candidates are not voted for, models are," he assured. When asked about his political future, he replied with humility and dedication: "I will be where the president asks me to be. Whether in the legislature, an embassy, or at home."
Finally, he strongly greeted La Derecha Diario and left a clear message for the readers: "We are here to govern and you —the free journalists— to tell the truth. As long as that logic is respected, this country has a future."
