Córdoba Governor Martín Llaryora led a working meeting with Renault executives and the company's suppliers.

The meeting, which took place in the Ministers' Hall of the Bicentennial Civic Center, was part of the series of meetings that the Province holds with the main automotive companies based in Córdoba, with the aim of consolidating industrial development and generating more quality employment.

In particular, the business strategy adopted by Renault to strengthen the export profile of the Santa Isabel plant was addressed, focusing on the production of utility vehicles for the Latin American market.

Increase in Renault's sales

In this regard, Llaryora highlighted the growth in the company's utility vehicle and SUV sales and exports and thanked Renault for the vision and joint work that is enabling the local plant to become an export hub.

"This is due, among many reasons, to the fact that we have a very strong industrial promotion law, which has been maintained throughout this time and which we are now expanding," he said.

The governor also highlighted the collaboration between representatives from the public sector and companies in the automotive industry.

"We have already done this with other sectors and we have achieved excellent results," he stated.

"My commitment to the industry is to support these projects that are vital for employment," he added.

Córdoba's automotive industry

Llaryora added that the Province is supporting the strengthening of the local supplier network for the automotive industry so that "we can have more and more domestic parts in vehicles."

The industrial director of the Santa Isabel plant, André Pinto, valued the fact that the company has had 70 years of uninterrupted activity in the province, "which demonstrates the strength and solidity of the industry in Córdoba."

Looking ahead, Pinto stated: "Our main goal is for Santa Isabel to become a utility vehicle manufacturing hub for all of Latin America starting in 2026."

Minister of Economy and Public Management, Guillermo Acosta, emphasized the importance of dialogue between Renault representatives, its supplier network, and the public sector.

"In these meetings, the idea is for the Province to put forward all the tools it has to strengthen activity," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Minister of Production, Science, and Technological Innovation, Pedro Dellarossa, said that the agency is responsible for "implementing the industrial promotion regimes announced by Governor Llaryora, one of the key tools the province has."

Dellarossa also highlighted the government's commitment to improving the logistics of exporting local production and mentioned the opportunities now opening up with the operational area that Córdoba will have at the Santa Fe port on the Paraná River.
