The Court of Auditors of Córdoba approved the progressive use of an artificial intelligence system to review expense accountability files, according to the Official Gazette. This technology will seek to automate the verification of critical documents and speed up the repetitive work currently performed by human employees. The implementation is part of a provincial financial control modernization and digitization plan.
Automated controls will allow errors to be identified with greater accuracy than the manual procedures carried out by traditional employees, who often hold positions for political reasons rather than merit. AI will initially function as a Minimum Viable Product, developed in collaboration with the National Technological University. Additionally, the tool is expected to perform preliminary audits on a constant basis, covering areas where human intervention is slow or inefficient.
The implementation will reach the Oversight Secretariat, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Audit Directorate, improving expense supervision. Training sessions will be organized so that staff can learn to interact with artificial intelligence ethically and efficiently, minimizing errors or biases. The Project Management Directorate will coordinate AI, ensuring it surpasses the effectiveness of traditional employees appointed for political convenience.
