The artist was rescued in Palermo and her ex-boyfriend was taken into custody

The Lowrdez case shocked the entire country. Her disappearance, combined with a context of alleged gender-based violence, kept her family, followers, and public opinion on edge for weeks.
Lourdes Fernández, known for being one of the most iconic voices of Bandana, was missing for three weeks until she was rescued in a police operation in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
Her ex-boyfriend, Leandro García Gómez, was arrested, accused of having kept her locked up against her will.
Everything began when Lourdes's mother reported her disappearance to the police. She had not heard from her daughter for weeks, and in her desperation, a search protocol was activated.

Concern grew when, a few days ago, the singer posted a video on social media with a brief and confusing message in which she claimed to have the flu.
The recording, far from providing reassurance, caused even more doubts: it was a close-up video, with no details of her surroundings, and with a visibly forced tone.
Meanwhile, as the media awaited answers outside García Gómez's residence, cameras captured the man evading journalists' questions and denying any connection to the disappearance.
He even went so far as to say that he was "the victim of a political operation". However, the judicial investigation moved forward quickly.
The prosecutor's office requested and obtained a search warrant to inspect the property, after gathering evidence suggesting that Lourdes could be held there.
According to Yanina Latorre, who reported live, security forces made a video call with Lourdes before the search.
"She didn't want to say where she was, and the shot was very close-up. The judge ended up signing the search warrant," the journalist said. Hours later, police personnel broke into García Gómez's residence.
"They entered, Lourdes was there, the ex-boyfriend was there, and he was arrested. Lourdes was there all day," Latorre reported about the operation. She then added chilling details: "I'm told he kept her locked in a room all day. He's going to leave in handcuffs."
But the most shocking aspect of the case is that the man is allegedly linked to the hardline Peronist circle, which reportedly concealed his heinous acts for a long time.
"I'm told this guy is from La Cámpora, that he worked in Alberto (Fernández)'s government, and that he was a third- or fourth-tier official. He was always a very, very violent man who was supported by politics," the LAM panelist detailed.
