Luciana Elbusto was scathing with Diego Brancatelli: 'He didn't take care of his wife'

Luciana Elbusto, the journalist who found herself at the center of controversy following the confirmation of her romantic involvement with Diego Brancatelli, decided to speak without filters. After being labeled as the third party in the journalist's marriage to Cecilia Insinga, Elbusto gave an interview in which she shared her version of events and directly pointed at her lover.

"At first, I felt very embarrassed because something from my private life was exposed, for my family. Since I'm not a public figure, all of this overwhelmed me," the Paparazzi journalist stated during her participation in Sálvese Quien Pueda (América TV).

In the show, she acknowledged that during the first days she chose to deny the relationship with Brancatelli, despite having frequent meetings since the pandemic: "On my part, I tried to protect him," she said.

However, the situation changed when she learned that Brancatelli was talking about her in his work environment. "I didn't know he was telling," she confessed, surprised. This detail was crucial for her decision to break the silence and reveal what was behind the supposed "pact of silence" that, according to her, had been established among the three involved.

"There was a pact of silence. We talked about it among the three of us. Maybe they see it wrong, it's not what they like," she stated, referring to Brancatelli and Insinga. The journalist emphasized that her decision to speak publicly was due to the personal and professional strain caused by the scandal: "I was ending up in a horrible role. I was losing my credibility as a journalist."

In one of her most forceful statements, the woman directly blamed the K journalist for the media exposure: "He didn't protect his wife, not me." With this phrase, she made it clear that, in her view, the journalist was the one who exposed the relationship they had for five years and that he never promised to leave his partner.

"I was fine, it was functional to what I wanted", she explained about her staying in the relationship. She also denied any attempt to escalate the conflict and refuted acting out of spite: "I know I'm not spiteful. Otherwise, I would have spoken earlier in five years. I never wanted this to leak".
