They identified the woman who dumped the body of a dead baby in a dumpster.
The suspect, a Brazilian citizen, was caught on security cameras and is being intensely sought
The City Police identified the woman suspected of having thrown the lifeless body of a baby just a few days old into a garbage container located at the intersection of Cabildo and Monroe avenues, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano. She is a Braziliancitizen who is currently being intensely sought by the authorities.
The macabre discovery occurred on Monday morning, when a man searching through the trash for clothes opened a bag at the bottom of the container and found the baby's corpse.
He immediately notified the City Police, whose officers from Neighborhood Police Station 13A arrived minutes later along with personnel from SAME. However, the doctors could only confirm the baby's death.
According to sources in the case, the body showed no visible signs of violence or injuries indicating a traumatic cause of death. "The body showed lividity, hypothermia, and had no pulse. They detected a scab in the umbilical cord area, indicating that the baby had been born a few days earlier," detailed the specialists who intervened at the scene.

From the images captured by the security cameras, investigators managed to identify the suspect. She is a woman with dark skin, hair tied back, and dressed in a white tank top, pants, and light-colored sneakers. In the video, she is seen walking along Cabildo Avenue with a large light green bag under her arm.
The footage shows that at 10:01 in the morning, minutes before the discovery, the woman approaches the gray waste container, opens it, and throws something inside.
Then, she continues walking along Cabildo Avenue and turns onto Monroe Street, against the traffic direction. At that moment, her bag is already empty, and she is seen walking hurriedly until she disappears from view.
The case is in the hands of Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 51, led by Dora Olivieri, who ordered the analysis of all security cameras in the area and the taking of statements from neighbors and shopkeepers who may provide information about the suspect's identity and whereabouts.

The case of the baby found in Belgrano occurs in a context of growing shock over the discovery of human remains in different parts of the country.
Other cases
Hours later, in the Buenos Aires locality of Ciudadela, the Police found the torso of a man in a boarding house suspected of being a drug sales point. The body was just six blocks from where his head had been found days earlier.
Additionally, in Rosario, a forearm and a thigh were found next to a waste container in the city center. Days later, in the landfill of the neighboring town of Ricardone, the torso of an unidentified body appeared.
These events, along with the Belgrano case, have caused strong concern among the security forces, who are investigating whether there is any connection between them or if they are isolated episodes within a more general escalation of violence.
