Macrismo placed Carrió's and Angelici's nieces for the elections in CABA

In contrast to La Libertad Avanza's list, PRO placed relatives and close associates of Lilita and Angelici

The legislative lists in Buenos Aires City show a clear contrast between La Libertad Avanza (LLA), which presents a solid list made up of committed professionals and leaders, while macrismo and its allies resort to old practices of political favoritism.

On one hand, the PRO and the Civic Coalition repeat the same old pattern: Daniel "El Tano" Angelici and Elisa Carrió managed to place their relatives in the top spots of their lists.

Lorena Bracci, niece of the businessman linked to gambling, occupies the ninth place on the PRO ticket. Meanwhile, María Pace, Lilita's second niece, is positioned third on the Civic Coalition list.

Angelici not only placed his niece but also managed to include Lautaro García Batallán, an old operator linked to the radicalism of the Alliance and the sushi group, the circle that surrounded Fernando De la Rúa.

The power network of El Tano even extends to the partner of Laura Alonso, a historical figure of the PRO, whose relationship with Tecnoazar, a company linked to gambling businesses, reinforces the idea that the sector continues to have a strong influence on the lists of Together for Change.

LLA's list

At the other end of Buenos Aires politics, La Libertad Avanza presents a proposal far from the old structures. The great bet of the national government is to contest control of the district that macrismo has managed for 18 years, with a list led by Manuel Adorni, current presidential spokesperson and staunch defender of Milei's Government.

Alongside him, the list includes Solana Pelayo, a fintech expert lawyer, economist Nicolás Pakgojz, and Andrea Freguia, administrative secretary of the libertarian legislative bloc.

The list is completed by key figures such as bullrichista Juan Pablo Arenaza, who seeks to renew his mandate, as well as Lucía Montenegro, Leonardo Seifert, Rebeca Fleitas, Diego Vartabedian, Marina Kienast, Juan Ignacio Fernández, Patricia Holzman, and Marcelo Ernst, among others. It is a team with a clear technical and political profile, prepared to deepen the structural reforms the country needs.

Adorni's candidacy, which was confirmed after weeks of speculation, represents a strategic blow in the dispute with the PRO. With the direct support of Milei, the presidential spokesperson faces the election with the conviction of bringing to the Buenos Aires Legislature the principles of freedom, order, and fiscal responsibility that the Government has been implementing at the national level.

"I will be in the role he puts me in. I will support the ideas. If he asks me for something, I have to fulfill it or I have to go home," Adorni stated in an interview, making clear his commitment to the libertarian project.
