Google presented at Made on YouTube 2026, its annual event in New York, new tools for producing videos, managing channels, and generating revenue. artificial intelligence will play a central role in content editing and analysis.
The platform also announced changes to live broadcasts, new features for televisions, and monetization options. Some tools are already available in Argentina, while others still do not have a confirmed date for the country.

YouTube incorporates artificial intelligence to edit videos and manage channels
Gemini, Google's artificial intelligence, will arrive for video editing in Shorts and YouTube Create. It will allow generating a first version based on written instructions, trimming scenes, rearranging them, and adjusting the music.
YouTube Studio will add tools to analyze video performance, receive suggestions about their structure, and generate thumbnails adapted to the channel's style. It will also allow testing up to three versions of a video to compare results.
The platform will incorporate improvements in comment moderation and in likeness detection, the system that identifies content created or modified with artificial intelligence that uses a person's image. The new features do not yet have confirmed availability in Argentina.

YouTube bets on televisions and short video series
More than half of the top 100 YouTube creators receive most of their views from televisions, according to the company.
The platform launched Shorts Series, a feature that allows organizing short videos into seasons and episodes. The format accompanies the growth of micro-dramas, which surpassed 6.5 billion views during the first half of 2026.

Views of micro-dramas from televisions increased by more than 90%. YouTube will also allow commenting on videos via voice commands and will display channel posts on the big screen.
What changes will come to YouTube live broadcasts
The platform announced Watch With, a feature that will allow live streaming while commenting or reacting to a video from another channel, as long as its author has enabled that option.
The creator will be able to monetize the broadcast with advertising and audience contributions. YouTube will also recognize the original author and count the views in their statistics. The feature will expand throughout 2026, although its arrival in Argentina has not yet been confirmed.
